The consignee's reference number for this quote. For example, a purchase order number.
Describe what you are shipping:
The number of pieces of the commodity.
The type of packaging of the commodity.
The gross weight of the commodity, in pounds or kilograms, of the commodity.
Specify the dimensions or volume of the commodity. This information is not required for LTL shipments but it is highly recommended that you enter this information if available. The commodity's dimensions or volume is required for air shipments.
The NMFC Class of the commodity. For more information, please read our NMFC Class Guide.
Place a check if the commodity is considered Harzadous Materials, in accordance with transportation requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Click on to delete the commodity.
Cick the "Add Line" button to enter additional commodities.
Check this box if you need the driver to collect funds on your behalf upon delivery of the freight.
If your freight gets lost or damaged during transit, the carrier is liable for such loss or damage not to exceed such carrier's maximum liability. Please contact us to find out the maximum liability for a carrier.
If the value of your freight exceeds the carrier's maximum liability, you have the option of getting cargo insurance from our third-party insurance provider by entering the following information:
Type of Goods - Specify what you are shipping.
Declared Value - The total value of your freight.
You are required to read the Terms & Conditions of the insurance coverage. Check the appropriate box to indicate that you understand and agree to the Terms & Conditions.
Check this box if you need the driver to assist you in loading or unloading the freight. Subject to additional charges.
Check this box if you need a truck equipped with a liftgate. Liftgate service is required if the Loading Facility or Unloading Facility does not have a dock. Subject to additional charges.
Check this box if the carrier must contact the consignee before attempting delivery or to schedule an appointment. Subject to additional charges.
Once you've entered all the required information, click the "Get Quote" button. The system will begin to search the database for quotes. Please do not press the back button on your browser once the search progress begins. If you've made a mistake, you will have the option to modify the information after the search is complete. After the system has completely searched all possible rates, the Domestic Quote Screen will be displayed.
If you are always shipping the same commodity repeatedly, you have the option to save the information as a Template by clicking on the "[Save as Template]" link. Give your new template a unique name. The template is now available from your myEFREIGHT screen.
